Touring

January 20th
Today was a day off so we decided to do a bit of touring with the Australians. First we went to the Buddhist Monk Temple. It was extremely hot but we really enjoyed what we saw. At the beginning of the tour we saw about 20 monkeys in the trees. The first cave that we went into there was a huge statue of the Buddah lying sideways on the floor. The caves were covered with paintings on the wall and ceilings. We had to climb a lot of stairs to get to the top. About 500!!! The temple was very steep so it was tricky getting to the top. On the way to the top there were more caves. Each cave had the same buddah in it. Before we enetered the caves we had to take our shoes off. There was a table with flowers on it in front of one of the caves. Each one of us had to lay a flower in front of the buddah. When we got to the top there was this cliff that we stood on and we could see for miles. We took some cool pictures.
Secondly we went to see the largest Buddah in Sri Lanka. It was massive!!!! After that we went to see the blow hole. We didn't get to see a big burst of water because it wasn't the right time of year. That was our touring day and we took lots of pictures.
