Hi Raija, Thanks for keeping us updated with your blog. From talking with your dad, it sounds like everything is going well. You are becoming more famous all the time. There is a piece in today's Kamloops Daily News about you and Mayor Lake. Keep up the good work. Wayne, Developing World Connections
Good Morning! Looks like you are working hard. Did you make it out of the hole Raija and Steph? Mrs. Eagles did not recognize you guys! Steph - don't you have dark hair??? Have you seen any monkeys yet? Did you hear about the storm we had here? The hail was coming down so hard and the wind was blowing 80K! Amazing wind! Now it is just icy! Hope to hear from you soon! Love the pictures! Looks like the mayor is working hard too! Love, Danika, Ethan and George (& Mrs. E.)
Hello, Raija: Good work with your blog! It's great to read about your work and see the photos of your progress. My wife, Bonnie, and I helped with the construction at Ketakalawata and also at Ruvingama, and we're looking forward to the time when we can continue your work at the training centre. I know that you'll find the work difficult, but it will also be one of the most memorable times of your life. And the people that you are helping there will never forget you. All the best, Ralph Bullis in Edmonton
Hi Raiji,(and Tim and Debbie) wow! we had no idea you guys were doing this. What a wonderful opportunity. Your aunt Michelle let us know and so we've been checking your blog daily. Hi Raija, have been following the news reports in the paper, and just read your blog. Looks like your work is progressing, and you have already experienced many cool things in the few days since you arrived. It is fun to see what a day in Sri Lanka is like for all of you.Good work on the blog. Hi to your mom and dad, and the Gavriels.
My name is Raija Kasten, I am thirteen years old and in grade eight. I have made up this blog so that people can see and read about my trip to Sri Lanka. Other than Hawaii and Disneyland I haven't been to a lot of places. I am looking forward to the trip. I will try to update pictures and blogs daily, depending on internet connections.
